Analysis Note
ControlRat olfactory bulb tissue
Application
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected Neurexin-1-beta in human cerebellum, rat frontal lobe, and human thalamus tissues.
Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Neurexin-1-beta in COS cell lysates transiently transfected with Flag-tagged Neurexin-1-beta, and demonstrated a loss of signal in COS cell lysates transiently transfected with Flag-tagged Neurexin-1-alpha or untagged Kv2.1 plasmids (Prof. J. Trimmer, University of California, Davis.).

General description
Neurexin-1-beta or Neurexin I-beta is a neuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell recognition and cell adhesion through the formation of intracellular junctions via binding to neuroligins. Neurexin-1-beta may also have roles in the formation and maintenance of synaptic junctions, mediation of intracellular signaling, and angiogenesis.
Immunogen
Linear peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human Neurexin-1-beta.
Epitope: N-terminus within the extracellular domain
Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Purified mouse monoclonal IgG1κ in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Quality
Evaluated by Immunohistochemistry in rat olfactory bulb tissue.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution of this antibody detected Neurexin-1-beta in rat olfactory bulb tissue.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes the N-terminus within the extracellular domain of Neurexin-1-beta. This antibody does not cross-react with Neurexin1-alpha or Neurexin-2 (Prof. J. Trimmer, University of California, Davis.).
